This is a typical extraction case, except that the patient is older. There is some crowding:

When we align the teeth, usually the gum line adapts, but not with older patients. They have a "hidden" gingival recession. When the teeth are crowded, there is no room for the gum, so they tend to shrink. It's not so noticeable when the teeth are crowded, but when unraveled, the spaces do show up.
Especially noticeable from the side.
The important thing is that you are aware of this and willing to accept it. Softer lips:
